Panda ClientShield with TruPreventTM Technologies, the Panda Software security solution for protecting workstations from all types of Internet threats, has received certifications from ICSA Labs, an independent division of Cybertrust, in the Client/Server category under Windows XP Professional and Windows 2003.
In the tests carried out, Panda ClientShield with TruPreventTM Technologies detected 100% of viruses from the ‘in-the-wild’ list, as well as all test samples from ICSA Labs, including detection of polymorphic viruses and viruses known as common infectors and which are about to be included in the Wild List. All of this applied to both of the platforms tested.
Another certification requirement of ICSA Labs is that the product must also include an administration interface that allows virus detection to be enabled or disabled, and the possibility to update the signature file via the Internet. It must also allow management of the report module, which logs all incidents such as virus detections and all actions taken. In all these aspects, Panda ClientShield with TruPreventTM Technologies operated at optimum levels.
Panda ClientShield with TruPreventTM Technologies is a global protection solution for workstations in corporate environments. Integrated in computers, this high-performance, low-consumption solution protects against viruses, worms, Trojans and all types of malware. It can also filter spam and block the use of spyware, dialers and other hacking tools. Administration is quick and simple thanks to integration with the AdminSecure console, considerably reducing update time and consequently the risk of infection for corporate workstations. It also includes TruPreventTM Technologies to protect workstations from unknown viruses and threats.
This certification of Panda ClientShield comes in addition to those received by other products, both corporate and consumer, with respect to detection of viruses and Trojans.
