Gameloft, a leading developer and publisher of games for mobile phones, won the Best Games Publisher Award at the ME Awards in London. The final winners in each category were announced during a prestigious awards ceremony that took place on Tuesday, September 19th at the Royal Garden Hotel in London Kensington.
Michel Guillemot, Gameloft’s President said: “We are thrilled to have won this award at last night’s event organized by Mobile Entertainment, only a couple of months after winning the Best Mobile Game Studio at the Develop Industry Excellence Awards. In a market growing at full speed and conquering new users every day, it is key to offer all of them a very wide range of games, from Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double AgentTM, to Platinum Sudoku or 2006 Real Football. We bring all of our knowledge so that whatever our client’s phone, language or operator in the world, he or she will have a rich experience and be seduced by this new entertainment format. Thank you, Mobile Entertainment, and all of our industry colleagues who were a part of the jury, for having acknowledged this effort.”
Tim Green, executive editor of Mobile Entertainment, said: "These awards recognised the talent and hard work that is making mobile content the world's most exciting new industry. It was a truly amazing night and we look forward to doing it all again next year - in a bigger room."
